about me
Thank you for exploring my web page.
I'm excited about my 12th year of teaching at the beautiful campus of Canutillo High School.
GO EAGLES!!
I enjoy sharing a wealth of financial & business information with all my students in the areas of Money Matters, Banking and Financial Systems, Accounting, Business Information Management I & II (BIM), Principles of Business, Marketing and Finance, Entrepreneurship and Practicum of Business Management I & II. Microsoft Office Specialist 2019 certification are attainable in BIM I & II. In addition, I also enjoy offering C.H.S. students the opportunity to learn about the business world outside the classroom environment by being the F.B.L.A. adviser, U.I.L. Computer Applications academic coach, sponsor of the Rotary Youth Leaderhip Award (RYLA) and sponsor of the Student Boards of both Federal Reserve Bank - Dallas & GECU, El Paso branches.
My business background, before becoming a teacher, was in management and sales. I was an owner of a small El Paso transportation business, Supervisor of an I. T. Department, and an Account Manager for a network solution provider. I am a U.T.E.P. graduate and have obtained a Master Degree in Education. I received my undergraduate degree in Management and Computer Information Systems at Park University. I enjoy traveling, being active, reading and baseball (Go TX Rangers).
My goal in teaching business to high school students is to help bridge the gap between text book applications and real world business situations. To accomplish this task I bring to the classroom my business experiences which helps create an actual business setting.
If you have any questions about my classes, assignments or your child, please feel free to contact me.
